Why don't all our prices look like $95 - $195 - $295 - $375 etc? It's because we want to offer you the lowest possible price, depending on the exchange rate. In conjunction with Proxxon GmbH we have adopted a sensible pricing policy that will surprise you. Despite the collapse in value of the Australian dollar, nearly all our prices are well below the figures you may have seen advertised elsewhere in the past. Our prices are driven not by “How much will she pay?” but by “What's the fair price?” At last, you can afford Proxxon quality!
All Proxxon machinery can be serviced. Don't believe the stories from the past, that the machinery is sealed, or there are no parts available. As the Export Partner of Proxxon GmbH Germany, we keep on hand the spares inventory suggested by Germany, including motors for nearly every model, electronic components, PCBs, bearings, common mechanical spares.
Proxxon World has the technicians, the instrumentation, special tools, jigs & fixtures required, arrayed in a dedicated Proxxon service department. We handle warranty and non-warranty service for all the Proxxon equipment we sell.
When you want to reduce a shaft diameter within very close tolerances, toolpost grinding is often the best way. Your Proxxon lathe now has an available holder 24098 which holds the 28481 and 28485 grinders parallel to the lathe long axis. With this sturdy holder mounted in the toolpost and a suitable grinding wheel mounted in the 28481 or 28485, you can perform amazingly accurate and well-finished cylindrical grinding.
Artisans, engineers, technicians, modelmakers, scientists, researchers all can enhance their work through computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools. Just as the word-processor changed journalism, so CNC changes lathe and mill machining.
If you have a Proxxon 28606 drill stand or 28128 drill press and our 28132 MS4 vise, we have put together a fixing kit to mount the vise anywhere in the North-South tee slot, instead of only floating on the cross-arm. Now you have two ways to use the MS4 vise: sliding on the cross-arm as a poor man's XY table, or fixed in any North-South position with our fixing kit. Fixing the vise this way enables you to consistently drill in the same location when installing and removing multiple workpieces in the vise.
